Caadey-Laxey (KAAB TV) – The Federal Government of Somalia has deployed additional troops to the Adan Laxey area in the Middle Shabelle region to intensify operations against the Al-Shabaab militant group.
The deployment is significant, as the region has been a recent target for Al-Shabaab attacks, which have increased in the past few days. The Somali government aims to strengthen its presence in these areas to counter the rising threat from the extremist group.
The additional forces deployed in Adan Laxey, located near Ruunirgood town, consist of the Haramcad, a specially trained police unit. These forces are part of ongoing efforts to secure the region and disrupt Al-Shabaab activities.
In the past few days, government forces, supported by local fighters, have been actively carrying out operations throughout the Middle Shabelle region to combat Al-Shabaab and restore security.
