Middle Shabelle (Kaab TV) – The Council of Ministers of the Hirshabelle State Government held a special meeting today to discuss security and humanitarian issues facing areas under the administration.
A press statement issued by the Hirshabelle Council of Ministers revealed that approximately 1.5 million people are facing a severe drought affecting these regions.
“A devastating drought has struck the country. We must turn our attention to providing urgent assistance to our people who are enduring extremely harsh living conditions,” said the President of the Hirshabelle Administration.
Meanwhile, the Council called for intensified security operations currently underway in the vicinity of Xawaadley District in the Middle Shabelle region, urging that these efforts be further strengthened.
