Galdogob (Kaab TV) – Today, Sunday, a major ceremonial event is taking place in the town of Galdogob in the Mudug region to officially crown the Supreme Ugaas of the Tanade Daarood (Leelkase) clans, Ugaas Abdirahman Ugaas Mohamed.
The ceremony is being attended by various delegations from across Somalia, the Somali Regional State (Ethiopia), and the diaspora. The participants include traditional leaders, politicians, and representatives from different sectors of society.
Among the senior officials attending the event are the President of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni; the Speaker of the Puntland Parliament; and a delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia led by the Second Deputy Speaker of the Upper House, Senator Abdullahi Timacadde. The delegation also includes ministers and members of parliament from Puntland regions, who arrived today at Galdogob Airport.
The Galdogob ceremony is also being attended by some opposition politicians who are critical of President Said Deni’s administration.
