Israel Warns Somalia for the First Time About Turkish Operations

|

MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – Israel has issued a warning to Somalia after Shay Gal, a senior adviser within the Israeli Government, stated that Somalia has now become a place where Turkey holds significant influence and is testing its Tayfun missile— a missile Turkey has previously used to threaten Greece and Israel.

Shay Gal, who also served as Israel’s former Deputy Director of Foreign Relations, delivered a message to Ankara, saying: “Somalia is no farther than Iran,” reminding that for many years it was believed Israel would never strike Iran’s nuclear program until it ultimately did so.

He said that the eyes of Jerusalem are wide open, adding that Turkey is behind a military base in Somalia where thousands of soldiers are being trained.

Shay Gal emphasized that this is not speculation but something that is actually happening. He noted that Greece and Israel are increasing surveillance and intelligence gathering on any missile tests Turkey conducts inside Somalia.

This statement from Israel comes three weeks after Turkey issued an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and 36 other senior Israeli officials over the Gaza war against Hamas.
