Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – A devastating car accident at the Miranayo junction in the Abdicasis district of Mogadishu has left at least three people dead and two others injured. All victims belonged to the same family and were reportedly returning from a wedding celebration.
The collision occurred when a speeding Saaruf vehicle struck a Bajaj motorcycle carrying the family as they were crossing the intersection. According to initial reports, the majority of the deceased were women, with the exception of the motorcycle’s driver.
The two injured individuals were quickly transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased were taken to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) center for identification and to be returned to their relatives.
Security and traffic enforcement units responded promptly to the scene. The driver of the Saaruf car involved in the incident was apprehended, though authorities have yet to release details regarding the circumstances of the crash or the identity of the suspect.
