KISMAYO (KAAB TV) – Security forces in the Lower Jubba region have reported that a joint operation was conducted by Jubbaland Darwish forces and the elite Danab commandos targeting Al-Shabaab militants.
According to reports, the coordinated operation took place early Wednesday morning and focused on key Al-Shabaab hideouts. Officers leading the operation confirmed that several fighters and senior leaders of the group were left behind during the offensive.
Jubbaland media stated that the forces, acting on credible intelligence, struck a network of caves used by Al-Shabaab as a base in the Yaaq-Dabayleel area of Lower Jubba. The offensive extended to other locations between the areas of Orgiyow and Barjale, where additional militant hideouts were targeted.
Officials emphasized that the operation is ongoing, with Jubbaland Darwish forces and Danab commandos continuing to pursue the remaining elements of the militant group across the region.
