Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre Makes Historic Visit to Lasanood

|

Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – A high-level delegation led by Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre recently departed from Aden Adde International Airport en route to Lasanood, the capital of the Sool region.

Among the members of the delegation is the Commander of the Somali Police Force, Asad Osman Abdullahi (commonly known as Asad Diyano), alongside several key government officials.

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s arrival, ministers and members of parliament from his administration had already reached Lasanood, preparing for his historic visit.

This marks the first time a sitting Somali Prime Minister has visited one of the northern regions in such a capacity. The last notable visit to the area by a Somali head of government was by the second president of Somalia, Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke.

The Prime Minister’s visit has sparked significant excitement throughout the city. Lasanood’s streets have been adorned with banners and posters featuring both President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre, reflecting the warm welcome extended by the local population.
