The United States Imposed Sanctions on the Leader of The RSF, Mohamed Hamdan

|

New York (KAAB TV) – The United States government has imposed sanctions on the leader of the Sudan Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hamiti).

Also, he is prohibited from traveling to the United States and has all his assets in the United States frozen in any form.

On the other hand, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that members of the Rapid Support Forces and the militias that work with them have committed crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, and indiscriminate genocide in Sudan.

This move comes at a time when the Sudanese government welcomed Turkey’s initiative to end the 20-month war, after a meeting held in Port Sudan by the commander of the Sudanese army, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and Turkey’s deputy foreign minister, Burhanettin Duran. Burhan confirmed that they welcome the Turkish president’s initiative to seek an end to the war.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, Ali Yusuf, issued a brief report on the meeting, he said; “Sudan needs brothers and friends like Turkey,” adding that the initiative could lead to the realization of peace in Sudan.

In early December, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan contacted the Sudanese army chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and told him that Turkey was ready to start negotiations to end the war. is to first find a solution to the military conflict between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates, to eliminate any form of foreign interference.

After the conversation, last week in a press release from the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi confirmed that it welcomes Turkey’s diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis in Sudan.
