Wajid (KAAB TV) – The administration of Wajid district of Bakool region and the military officers in that district have jointly said that for one year the police and security forces of that district have not received any rights, but they voluntarily were protecting the security of that district.

Wajid Hidigle District Police Commander Iftin Aden Ali said that the police force in the district has been established for a year and a half and has not received any salary or rights from the South West Administration.

He said that these forces played an important role in securing the security of Wajid district and preventing attacks by the Al-Shabaab group.

“This army consists of men and women who are required to rent houses, they have not received any rights and salaries, they have not even received any numbers similar to those of the National Army,” said the Police Commissioner of Wajid District.

The Governor of Wajid District of Bakool, Mohamed Macalin Yusuf, on his part, called on the Federal Government and the South West authorities to grant the right to the Police and Security Forces in Wajid District to participate in the security of the district and the surrounding areas.

There is no news from the South West administration in response to the allegation from the Wajid district police command that they have not been paid for a long time.
