The Plan of The President of Jubaland in Nairobi and The Next Country He Will Visit.

|

NAIROBI (KAAB TV) – Jubaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islan (Madobe) landed in Nairobi on Saturday on a private plane.

This trip is his first trip abroad since he was re-elected as the leader of Jubaland, a result that the federal government of Somalia refused to recognize.

Reports say that Ahmed will meet the ambassadors of the international community in Kenya to discuss political issues affecting Somalia.

The main purpose of these meetings is the ongoing conflict between Jubaland and the federal government of Somalia. The meetings are expected to bring news about development projects in Jubaland.

An informed source also revealed that after completing his meetings in Kenya, Ahmed is planning to travel to the United Arab Emirates on an official visit.

The strained relationship between Jubaland and the federal government of Somalia is rooted in a dispute over constitutional amendments and electoral reforms.

Ahmed’s re-election was opposed by the Somali government, which led to the Raskambooni war between the Somali and Jubaland forces.

The federal government has called for the implementation of a unified electoral system based on one person, one vote throughout Somalia.

However, Jubaland and Puntland, the regional governments of Somalia, rejected this proposal due to security concerns and logistical constraints.

These differences have created serious tensions, as the federal government issued an arrest warrant for Ahmed after his re-election last year, which did not follow the one-person, one-vote election process.

Ahmed’s foreign trip is seen as an attempt to seek support from external stakeholders despite internal challenges.

His talks with Kenya and the United Arab Emirates are expected to focus on finding a solution to the ongoing conflict and the development of Jubaland.

The outcome of Ahmed’s talks with international stakeholders will be closely monitored for their ability to resolve the current political issues.
