Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – The forces of the Federal Government of Somalia with the help of the local people have conducted operations against Al-Shabaab in the areas along the Shebeelle River in the Hiran region.
These operations took place in several areas under the cities of Halgan and Bula Burte, which have been the scene of heavy fighting between Al-Shabaab and allied forces in recent weeks.
The Commander of the National Army, Commander Sahal Abdullahi Omar, said that the operations have been successful, and that operations are currently underway to ensure the security of the areas cleared from the group.
The commander also said that he is committed to the continuation of operations against Al-Shabaab while removing the Al-Shabaab group from all areas of the country.
Commander Sahal Abdullahi also highlighted the achievements of the Darwish forces of the Puntland state in the operations against Daesh in the mountainous region of Bari region.
