Baladweyne (KAAB TV) – There is more news about a heavy battle that took place in Halalay area, one of the areas under Halgan district in Hiran region.
The battle was between the local defense forces and the Al-Shabaab group, and it was reported that the battle resulted in deaths and injuries on both sides.
It has been confirmed that 6 people, two of them from the local army and four from Al-Shabaab, died in the battle that took place in Halalay area of Hiran region.
This battle followed sporadic battles in the past few days between the towns of Halgan and Bulaburte in the center of Hiran region.
The members of Al-Shabaab who are fighting in the eastern areas of the Hiran region are those who came from the Shabelle River in the western part of the region where the group still has large positions.
