Damascus (KAAB TV) – The head of Turkish intelligence and his accompanying members arrived in Damascus, the capital of Syria, on Sunday, where they held meetings with the Syrian leader Ahmed Al-Shara and other officials.
According to the Syrian news agency SANA, it was announced that the leader of Al-Shara discussed several files and security issues with the Turkish delegation. The two sides also exchanged intelligence information that was not disclosed to the media.
The head of Turkish intelligence, Ibrahim Kalin, also discussed with the leadership of the Syrian government how the two countries should cooperate in public security and the exchange of important intelligence information, in order to prevent groups that threaten the security of both countries.
Turkey is believed to be the main cause of the change in Syria, and Turkey was supporting the armed opposition group that has now taken power in Syria and led to a major change that has been welcomed.
