Mogadishu (Kaab TV) – The recent ongoing demonstrations and protests in the Capital of Somalia, Mogadishu, is becoming more hostile and dangerous as several MP’s have been blocked from joining the protests which is being held at Eng Yarisow Stadium or Konis Stadium.
Sources close to Kaab TV reported that many protestors being detained unlawfully by the government forces and with one peaceful protestor being confirmed dead and three others injured after being fatally shot by police in Deyniile District.
Many roads in the capital are barricaded by Somali government forces in an attempt to create fear and hinder protestors and the opposition from accessing the main grounds designated for the protests.
Large parts of the opposition officials are under house arrest in their residences, unable to leave or receive visitors.
Somali government forces are seeing camping outside of the houses of the Members of Parliament.
Several videos emerged online of MP’s expressing dissatisfaction over the blockade of the roads claiming they are being hindered their constitutional rights of peaceful demonstrations.
Other videos the sound of gunshots rapidly firing is heard by the Somali government forces reportedly firing at citizens protesting peacefully.
