MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – Members of the opposition currently engaged in talks with the Federal Government have recently arrived at the Presidential Palace of Somalia. Today’s meeting will focus on key issues that the two sides have been consulting on over the past several hours.
The discussions are centered on political matters, elections, the constitution, and other related issues. These topics are considered highly sensitive and potentially contentious, as the Federal Government and the opposition hold differing positions.
This round of talks differs from previous meetings in that when a major issue is presented, one of the negotiating parties may request additional time to deliberate and consult internally before returning with a response.
