MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – The UK government has brought charges against a man suspected of being affiliated with ISIS after he was accused of traveling from the United Kingdom to Somalia to take part in the group’s activities.

Mohamed Farah Mohamoud, from Bristol, is suspected of preparing acts of terrorism and of spending five weeks in an African country between January 29 and March 4, 2025.

The 21-year-old, who lives on Francombe Grove, is accused of traveling to an area inhabited by extremist groups linked to the so-called Islamic State (IS).

On Friday, he appeared before the Old Bailey for a preliminary hearing. Judge Cheema-Grubb provisionally scheduled the trial to begin on August 3 at the Winchester Crown Court.

He has been charged with involvement in terrorism-related activities, in violation of Section 5 of the UK Terrorism Act 2006.
