GAROWE (Kaab TV) – Puntland Vice President Ilyas Osman Lugatoor on Sunday officially launched Puntland’s Cultural Week celebrations in Garowe, an event organized by the Puntland Ministry of Information, Communication, Culture and Heritage to promote Somali culture and heritage.

The ceremony featured exhibitions of traditional Somali cultural artifacts, poetry, folk literature, music, and other aspects of Somali heritage, highlighting customs and traditions widely associated with Somali communities.

Vice President Lugatoor praised the ministry for organizing the event and emphasized the importance of preserving Somali culture and traditions, particularly among younger generations.

He encouraged Somali youth to play an active role in protecting and promoting Somali heritage, language, arts, and traditional values.

Officials said the event is part of Puntland’s broader efforts to preserve cultural identity and promote awareness of Somali history and heritage through public cultural programs and exhibitions.
