]]> Rabat (Kaab TV) – The Senegal national team last night won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) for the second time in their history, after defeating host nation Morocco 1–0 in the final.

Senegal secured the victory during extra time, when midfielder Pape Gueye scored a stunning goal in the 94th minute, officially deciding the outcome of the match.

Towards the end of regular time, Morocco were awarded a controversial penalty, but Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz missed the opportunity to equalize.

The highly entertaining final was played in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco.

Senegalese star Sadio Mané was named the tournament’s Best Player for his outstanding performances throughout the AFCON 2025 competition.
