Baydhaba (KAAB TV) – A high-ranking delegation led by the Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hon. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), arrived today in Baydhaba, the capital of the Bay region. The visit marks a pivotal moment in the government’s ongoing efforts to reinforce national security and deepen collaboration between federal and regional security institutions.

The delegation received a warm and formal welcome upon arrival at Baydhaba Airport. Among those present to greet the federal officials were the Minister of Security for South West State, Mr. Hassan Abduqadir Mohamed, along with senior commanders of the regional security forces, key members of the South West regional administration, and the Commissioner of Baydhaba District.

The primary objectives of the visit are to evaluate the current security landscape in the Bay region, accelerate joint operations aimed at stabilizing the area, and promote stronger cooperation between the Federal Government of Somalia and the South West State authorities. These efforts are especially critical in the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab, the extremist group that continues to pose a serious threat to peace and security in the central and southern parts of the country.
