Somalia Rejects Allegations of Expelling UAE Ambassador, Labels Reports False

|

Mogadishu (Kaab TV) – The Somali government has denied reports claiming it expelled the United Arab Emirates ambassador, describing the allegations as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed concern over the spread of the unverified claims across several media outlets and social media platforms.

“The Ministry firmly rejects these claims and urges all media institutions and social media users to exercise accuracy, professionalism, and responsibility, and to rely on official sources for information,” the statement said. It also warned that the spread of misinformation could undermine diplomatic relations.

The ministry did not provide further details on the origin of the reports but reiterated that no decision had been made to expel the UAE envoy.
