Somalia Offering $30,000 Reward for Information Related to Al-Shabaab Bomb Expert.

Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – The National Security & Intelligence Agency (NISA) has announced that it will pay 30,000 dollars to anyone who provides information to arrest Yusuf Mohamed Hussein, known as “Jeri-Arab”. Hussein, a senior official in Al-Shabaab’s bomb squad, has been accused of orchestrating many deadly attacks in Mogadishu and other parts of Somalia.

According to a statement issued by NISA on Sunday, Hussein played a significant role in planning and executing terrorist attacks, including the bombings in Villa Rosa, Mogadishu City Hall, Pearl Beach, SYL Hotel, and View Beach. He has also been linked to attacks targeting popular establishments such as Sayidka Restaurant, Jawi Coffee, Blue Sky, Top Coffee, and School Polizio.

The NISA has revealed that they have already arrested individuals associated with Hussein, and confiscated his vehicle, and some of his family members have also been imprisoned. However, the unknown operator is still in custody, as he is said to be hiding in Mubarak area of ​​the Lower Shabelle region.

In their statement, NISA urged the public to come forward with any information that could lead to Hussein’s arrest. “We are calling on citizens to help arrest dangerous terrorists. Any information shared will be handled confidentially, and individuals who provide actionable leads will be awarded $30,000,” the statement said.

Hussein’s involvement in Al-Shabaab has been going on for years, with the organization describing him as a key figure in the group’s explosives department. He was responsible for scouting targets, planning attacks, and overseeing suicide bombings that claimed countless lives and caused massive destruction.
