Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia convened an emergency meeting today and officially appointed Mahad Mohamed Salad as the new Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
According to a press release from the Cabinet, the nomination was put forward by the Ministry of Internal Security and approved by the Council.
Mahad Mohamed Salad brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as Minister, Member of Parliament, and former Director of NISA. His background in intelligence and national security makes him a well-qualified choice for the position.
The Council expressed its gratitude to the outgoing Director, Abdullahi Mohamed Ali, for his service and contributions to national security during his tenure.
