Somalia and Kenya Strengthen Bilateral Ties at China-Africa Forum

KENYA (KAAB TV) – Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdisalam Abdi Ali Dhay, held a bilateral meeting with his Kenyan counterpart, Musalia Mudavadi, on the sidelines of the China-Africa Forum Conference.

The discussions centered on enhancing diplomatic relations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of upholding constitutional institutions and safeguarding Somalia’s independence and territorial integrity.

Kenya reaffirmed its commitment to Somalia’s unity, and both ministers agreed to expedite the Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meetings. These efforts aim to bolster collaboration in key sectors such as trade, education, security, and economic infrastructure.

Minister Dhay expressed his gratitude to Kenya for its ongoing support in peacekeeping efforts, particularly through its role in the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).
