Lasaanood (KAAB TV) – Somali Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre delivered a speech at the SSC-Khatumo Parliament Center, emphasizing the importance of national unity, peace, and government decentralization.
In his address, Prime Minister Barre praised the people of the SSC-Khatumo regions, describing them as a “symbol of unity and solidarity for the Somali nation.” He stressed the need to strengthen peace and stability, calling them essential pillars for effective governance.
“I urge you to maintain peace as you have defended our national flag. Our country needs peace, development, and the successful implementation of independent elections across all regions,” said Prime Minister Barre. “I assure you that the SSC-Khatumo administration will receive full government services.”
He also noted that significant progress has been made in state-building and decentralization efforts, which have resulted in the launch of various development projects in Lasaanood.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the SSC-Khatumo region will benefit from key government services, supporting the broader goal of decentralizing Somalia’s administrative functions to better serve its citizens at the local level.
