Somali Diplomat Accused of Smuggling Women into Ireland, Under Investigation

Dublin (KAAB TV) – A Somali diplomat has been accused of illegally smuggling Somali women into Ireland, raising serious concerns.

According to The Times newspaper, the diplomat, previously stationed in Saudi Arabia, allegedly brought numerous women into the country illegally between September and November 2024 before being arrested.

The diplomat, whose identity has not been disclosed, was apprehended at Dublin Airport in November 2024 upon his arrival from Abu Dhabi. His arrest has prompted increased scrutiny by security forces, who are intensifying investigations into the misuse of official border crossings by migrants. He remains in custody at Cloverhill Prison.
