Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – The Somali Cabinet of Ministers held its weekly meeting, addressing several critical issues, as confirmed by the Minister of Information, Daoud Aweys, during a media briefing.
Key outcomes of the meeting included a directive prohibiting all heads of security agencies from entering Aden Adde International Airport due to potential security threats, as previously announced by the US Embassy in Mogadishu.
Additionally, Minister Aweys emphasized that Somali citizens must refrain from spreading false information on social media or other media platforms. Those found guilty of spreading misleading news will face legal action and be brought to court.
Other points raised in the meeting highlighted the need for heightened vigilance among citizens. Somali residents were urged to be cautious at home, at work, and while traveling in order to prevent any security incidents and to help maintain national safety.
This statement comes a day after security warnings were issued, with concerns about possible explosive attacks targeting the airport and government facilities.
