Galgaduud (KAAB TV) – Preparations are underway in the Galgaduud region for a major military offensive against the Al-Shabaab militant group. Senior officers of the Somali Armed Forces have been holding strategic meetings with local military leadership to coordinate the planned operation.
The objective of these discussions is to reclaim areas currently under Al-Shabaab control and restore government services to local communities.
The operation will focus on launching targeted attacks to weaken the militant group’s presence and regain strategic territories. Significant numbers of troops have already arrived in Galgaduud and are expected to begin operations in the coming days.
