SJS Conducts Training to Empower Somali Women Journalists

|

MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – Somali Journalists Syndicate (SJS) on Wednesday started another round of professional training for female Somali journalists in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, as part of programs to improve the knowledge and skills of female journalists.

These trainings, which are part of several programs, are supported by the Somali Journalists Syndicate – SJS from the Government and the People of Canada through the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives.

The aim of the training for female journalists – both former and new – is for the girls to achieve self-sufficiency in their work, and feel that they can work independently and freely anytime and anywhere.

The SJS leadership extended their appreciation to the Government and the people of Canada for their support.
