Nigeria (Kaab TV) – At least five people have died and dozens more were injured after a powerful explosion struck a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno State, in northeastern Nigeria.
Police say the blast targeted Muslim civilians while they were inside a mosque near the Gamboru market area in Maiduguri.
Borno State Police spokesperson Nahum Daso said preliminary investigations suggest the attack was likely a suicide bombing.
The incident comes amid ongoing security challenges in Borno State, which has long been plagued by armed group attacks, often targeting places of worship and crowded public spaces.
