Khartoum (KAAB TV) – Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, the local leader of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, has made a public appearance after a period of absence, following the release of an audio and video message.
Dagalo, whose RSF group has suffered a series of setbacks in its ongoing conflict with the Sudanese military, has seen his forces retreat from numerous areas in Khartoum and other cities.
In his message, the RSF leader urged his troops to continue their fight against the Sudanese military, reaffirming that his forces would not leave their positions in the capital, Khartoum. He also announced plans for a new operation aimed at taking control of Port Sudan, which currently serves as the headquarters for the government led by the Sudanese military.
Dagalo’s return comes at a time when the RSF is facing significant setbacks, including the loss of several key territories. The group has seen a decline in both territorial control and support, and Dagalo’s prolonged absence has led to frustration within the ranks of his forces.
