Garowe (KAAB TV) – The Vice President of Puntland, Ilyas Osman Lugatoor, reacted to the question about why the government of Hassan Sheikh did not support Puntland’s war against Daesh Terrorism and Villa Somalia accused Villa Somalia of being an obstacle to the war.
President Lugatoor said that Villa Somalia did not give any support to Puntland in the fight against Daesh, and it is missing from the Anti-Terrorist Aid provided by the world on behalf of Somalia, and he added that it hindered the removal of the wounded in the war.
“We will not ask for support from the Federal Government, and it has failed to help Puntland in its fight against Daesh. The latest damage to be done prevented its approval,” said the Vice President of Puntland, Ilyas Lugatoor, who was responding to the question about why Hassan Sheikh’s government did not support Puntland’s war against Daesh.
President Lugatoor also said that Puntland does not need and will not need forces outside of Puntland from the Federation or elsewhere, and he pointed out that the various Puntland defense forces are fully sufficient to eradicate terrorism and that they are now 65% of the land they were in.
