GAROWE (KAAB TV) – A press release issued by the Puntland regional administration, written in English, has announced that they respect the rights of the Palestinian people to live peacefully in their country.
The Minister of Information of Puntland administration, Mohamud Aydeed Dirir, who issued this press release, clarified that the comment written by his deputy minister Yaqub Abdalle in The Daily Telegraph newspaper does not reflect the official position of Puntland but it was his personal view.
“Puntland respects the right of the Palestinians to live in peace in their country. The Deputy Minister of Information’s comments do not reflect the opinion of the Puntland Government, it was only his personal opinion,” said Minister Dirir.
The United States government is planning to relocate the people of Gaza to Arab countries including Somalia, especially the areas that have been pointed out are the areas of Puntland.
