Garowe (Kaab TV) – The Puntland Police have reported on an operation carried out last night in the city of Garowe, which led to the arrest of men who had arrived from Las Anod with a Dhishiike-type firearm belonging to Garaad Jaamac Garaad Ali.
The operation resulted in injuries to three civilians, who were caught in the crossfire between the police and some of the men carrying the weapon.
During the operation, the police seized the firearm along with three of the men and their weapons, while two others managed to escape, according to Colonel Mahmud Muse Bile (Fardafuul), Deputy Commander of the Nugaal Regional Police, who spoke at a press conference today.
Colonel Fardafuul stated that these men intended to sell the firearm within Garowe, and that their information about the weapon was provided by relatives of the victims from Las Anod.
