Puntland Police Academy Graduates 10th Batch of Officers in Galkayo

MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – Puntland’s First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohamed Bari Shire, accompanied by Puntland Police Commander Brigadier General Mumin Abdi Shire, on Monday presided over the graduation ceremony of the 10th batch of Puntland Police Force officers at the General Carays Godad Police Training School in Galkayo.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Puntland Parliament, cabinet officials, senior security officers, Galkayo district authorities, and other invited guests.

During the graduation event, the newly trained officers demonstrated various skills, tactical exercises, and professional training they had acquired during their time at the academy, showcasing their readiness to carry out security duties and protect civilians.

Officials who addressed the ceremony congratulated the graduates and urged them to serve the public with integrity, discipline, professionalism, and patriotism.

The graduation of the 10th batch is part of Puntland’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity, professionalism, and operational effectiveness of its police force as authorities continue working to enhance security and law enforcement across Puntland regions.

Puntland has in recent years increased investment in training and restructuring its security institutions amid ongoing efforts to combat militant threats, organized crime, and regional insecurity in northeastern Somalia.
