Mogadishu (Kaab TV) – President of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, has instructed military officers to remain on constant readiness for battles aimed at defending the people of Puntland.
Speaking at a meeting with Puntland security officials in Qardho, President Deni emphasized that his administration does not want to resemble other regional governments in the country, some of which lack effective military capability.
“Whenever the armed forces are needed, they must be ready at all times. Puntland is engaging only in just wars to defend its people,” President Deni stated.
He added, “We want to present a different image from others. We must never resemble the instability and shortcomings seen in the forces of other regions.”
The president’s remarks come at a time when the Federal Government has used military force in Baidoa to remove the South West State president, Abdiaziiz Laftagareen, while also conducting military activities in other federal member states.
