Garowe(KAAB TV) – The Puntland government is offering support to protesters in regions recently freed from the Daesh (ISIS) group, located in the Aalimiskaad mountains.
General Mohamud Fadhigo, spokesman for the operation against ISIS, explained that local herdsmen had faced severe hardships due to Daesh’s actions, including livestock theft. He emphasized that while the government cannot deploy forces across all reclaimed areas, the Puntland administration is committed to defending residents and protecting their territories from terrorist groups.
General Fadhigo also indicated that villagers will play a significant role in maintaining security, with assistance from Puntland’s forces.
This development comes as Puntland forces continue their operations to drive out Daesh, reaffirming the region’s commitment to eradicating the terror group.
