Garowe (Kaab TV) – The Office of the Auditor General of Puntland has issued a directive requiring newly appointed ministers to declare their personal assets within one month.
The purpose of this measure is to ensure transparency by documenting the private assets of the new ministers, deputy ministers, and state ministers of Puntland, thereby strengthening accountability and good governance.
Additionally, officials leaving office have been instructed to report to the Office of the Auditor General so that their assets can be reviewed, particularly to determine whether any changes occurred during their time in office.
The Office of the Auditor General of Puntland also stated that, going forward, it will take all accountability measures permitted under the Constitution and other applicable laws of Puntland.
