President Said Abdullahi Deni Holds Strategic Meeting with Nugaal Regional Committees on Security, Development, and Social Affairs

Garowe (KAAB TV) – President Said Abdullahi Deni of the Puntland State of Somalia convened an important meeting last night at the Presidential Palace in Garowe with the Security, Development, and Social Affairs Committees of the Nugaal Region.

The high-level gathering aimed to review ongoing initiatives and strengthen coordination among regional institutions in support of Puntland’s governance and stability agenda.

The meeting brought together several key officials, including members of the Puntland Cabinet, the National Security Adviser to the President, the Commander-in-Chief of the Puntland Police Force, senior representatives of the Nugaal Regional Administration, officials from the Garowe District Council, and other regional leaders.

During the discussions, the participants examined the current security situation in Nugaal, particularly in and around Garowe, the capital city of Puntland.

They also reviewed progress on the implementation of the recent peace agreement reached with local community leaders in the region.

The meeting focused on strategies to enhance community cooperation, strengthen law enforcement, and maintain long-term peace and stability.

Another key agenda item was the modernization of the capital’s security infrastructure, including the development of more efficient policing systems, better coordination between security agencies, and the adoption of modern technologies to support public safety.

President Deni commended the regional committees for their ongoing efforts in promoting peace, stability, and socio-economic development.

He emphasized the importance of collaboration between government institutions and local communities to ensure that Puntland remains a model of good governance and stability in Somalia.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from all stakeholders to continue working together to implement the discussed plans, particularly in advancing the region’s security, development, and social welfare initiatives.
