Ankara (KAAB TV) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is reportedly starting a series of diplomatic visits to many countries in Asia and Africa, as part of efforts to strengthen Turkey’s relations with these countries.

According to officials of the Turkish Presidency, President Erdogan will travel to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan for three days, from 10 to 13 February 2025. These visits are aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, and will discuss Turkey’s support for these countries, and address important issues affecting the Islamic world.

Reports say that after his Asia tour, Erdogan will turn to Africa, visiting Somalia and Ethiopia.

Sources close to the Turkish Presidency confirm that these visits are in line with Erdogan’s commitment to expand Turkey’s influence and cooperation with African countries.

Advance delegations have already arrived in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan to prepare for the high-level meetings. Erdogan is expected to talk about economic cooperation, regional stability, and Turkey’s role in helping these countries.

In December 2024, Erdogan announced that he will visit Somalia and Ethiopia in early 2025. While the arrangements for his visit to Somalia are underway, the time of his arrival has not yet been officially announced.

The visits are expected to result in several agreements in different areas to strengthen the legal structure of bilateral relations. In addition, Erdogan will meet with the leaders of the host countries to promote economic cooperation.

Important regional and international issues are also in focus, with a particular focus on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza – it will also be on the agenda during Erdogan’s talks with the leaders, according to Turkish officials.

This diplomatic trip underlines Turkey’s commitment to strengthening relations with other countries while addressing pressing international issues.
