Mogadishu (Kaab TV) – Hamza Abdi Barre, the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, last night paid separate visits to the homes of former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and former Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Hamza and the former leaders discussed matters related to the government’s dialogue initiative and the Future Forum (Golaha Mustaqbalka).
The Prime Minister stated that the government’s platform for dialogue is always open and that the doors remain open to national leaders. He emphasized the importance of engaging all parties in discussions to find solutions to the country’s current challenges.
The meeting between Prime Minister Hamza and former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed was also attended by former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire, who is a member of the Future Forum.
These meetings came after the Future Forum announced that Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and Mohamed Hussein Roble had been denied entry to the Xalane compound—specifically the Airport Hotel—where they were scheduled to attend a meeting of the council.
For its part, the Federal Government stated that some former national leaders had violated security procedures at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
