New York Mayor-Elect Moves to Oppose Donald Trump’s Plan

|

New York (Kaab TV) – Zohran Mamdani, who won the November 2025 election, has been sworn in as the new Mayor of New York City. During the ceremony, he made several promises that were warmly welcomed by those in attendance.

The Mayor of New York first stated that he would work to restore unity among the city’s residents. He also emphasized that he would focus on strengthening essential public services, which have declined in recent years.

Mamdani made remarks that were described as likely to upset U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that he would work toward uniting Muslim communities with non-Muslim communities who live together in the city.

At a time when the Donald Trump administration has been accused of marginalizing Muslims and favoring non-Muslims, the Mayor of New York pledged to promote cooperation, mutual respect, and shared responsibility among all communities.
