Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – MP Abdirahman Abdishakur, in a statement, spoke about the difficult situation in the country at the moment, when the people of Mogadishu are facing a widespread financial crisis and displacement from the government.
The MP noted that the situation in the country is getting worse day by day, and he noted that the government’s plan to hold elections by people and votes is not correct, but the government wants an illegal extension period.
“The situation in the country is getting worse day by day. It is clear to the people that the slogan of election of people and votes is a right statement, but it is meant for a long period of time. This is an attempt to alienate the opposition and the authorities who have already rejected the extension,” said CC Warsame.
MP Abdirahman Abdishakur also said that the worsening situation in the country could create a rebellion by the people, and he noted that the people have been displaced and looted as well as the imposition of excessive taxes.
He called on the Parliament to take action to withdraw the confidence of the Prime Minister of the Somali government, Hamse Abdi Barre, in order to find a new Prime Minister who has the power to stop animal poaching and displacement.
“In order to prevent a complete collapse, it is important that the Parliament takes action and withdraws confidence from the government. The new Prime Minister should stop the displacement, extortion and looting of government land for the rest of the year, and negotiate with the opposition and regional authorities, to agree on a joint election based on the 4.5 system of power sharing and direct voting,” said the MP.
The MP’s speech comes at a time when the country is in a difficult economic situation, and the government has displaced many people from the public interest land, and it is said that the government has sold the land to Somali businessmen.
