Mortar Shells Strike Mogadishu, Casualties Reported Near Somali Presidential Palace

Mogadishu (KAAB TV) – Several mortar shells were launched in the vicinity of the Somali Presidential Palace, causing significant damage and casualties. Some of these shells landed in residential areas near Vill Somalia, as well as around the May 15 school and the National Theater.

Reports indicate that the mortars fired at the Presidential Palace this morning resulted in casualties, though official information regarding the removal of the shells and the full extent of the damage has yet to be released.

This marks another incident in a series of shelling attacks on the Somali Presidential Palace, many of which have led to civilian deaths and injuries.
