MOGADISHU (Kaab TV) – Fighters from the Ma’awisley militia who departed the Gubadley area in the Banadir region on Saturday night reportedly arrived safely in the Middle Shabelle region after traveling through several tense security zones.
According to reports, the forces began moving after receiving information that troops departing from Mogadishu were allegedly heading toward their location, prompting them to relocate toward the Adale district.
Sources added that during their journey, the Ma’awisley fighters encountered several checkpoints and roadblocks, where brief clashes were reported to have taken place.
Witnesses said the fighters managed to pass through the contested areas after short exchanges of gunfire and continued their movement until they successfully reached Adale district in the Middle Shabelle region.
Meanwhile, the forces that were reportedly pursuing them later returned to Mogadishu after failing to intercept or engage the Ma’awiisley fighters along the route.
The troop movements come at a time when Mogadishu and surrounding areas are experiencing rising political and security tensions, raising concerns over the possibility of further instability in the capital and nearby regions.
