Kismayo (Kaab TV) – The Jubbaland State administration has deployed additional security forces to the outskirts of Kismayo city in order to strengthen security, as the city is hosting an opposition conference currently taking place there, according to various sources.
The newly deployed forces have reinforced the security personnel who were already inspecting vehicles entering Kismayo, which serves as the interim capital of the Jubbaland State, with the aim of raising the overall security level.
Some cargo trucks have been stopped on the outskirts of Kismayo, while light vehicles and private cars traveling between the city and other areas of the Lower Juba region are undergoing strict security checks.
Today, members of the opposition to the Federal Government are heading to Kismayo, where they are expected to take part in meetings being held at the interim headquarters of the Jubbaland State.
