The Jubbaland Cabinet has approved the regional government’s budget for 2027, with total expenditure and revenue projections amounting to $60,886,783.86, according to an announcement following a Cabinet meeting held on Sunday.
The meeting was chaired by Mohamed Yusuf Omar, Jubbaland’s Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, who presided over the session on behalf of the government.
During the meeting, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development presented a report outlining the proposed budget and the administration’s financial position.
The ministry reported that domestic revenue had increased by 2.42%, indicating modest growth in the government’s locally generated income.
The approved budget, totalling approximately $60.9 million, is expected to provide the financial framework for Jubbaland’s government operations and planned activities throughout 2027.
However, further details on the allocation of funds among ministries and public services, as well as the revenue sources and spending priorities, were not provided in the announcement.
