Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) has reported that Israeli forces carried out additional strikes in southern Lebanon, though the agency did not provide details on casualties or whether anyone was injured.
NNA also reported that Israeli warplanes conducted overnight airstrikes on the town of Al-Mansouri in southern Lebanon, adding to a series of recent attacks in the area.
The latest strikes come amid ongoing tensions between Israel and armed groups operating in southern Lebanon, despite repeated international calls for de-escalation and respect for the ceasefire arrangements along the border.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has pledged to work toward ending Israel’s presence in Lebanese territory, reaffirming his government’s commitment to restoring full sovereignty over all Lebanese land.
His remarks come as Beirut faces growing domestic pressure to address security concerns in the south and pursue diplomatic efforts aimed at securing the withdrawal of Israeli forces from disputed areas along the border.
The renewed airstrikes highlight the fragile security situation in southern Lebanon, where periodic exchanges of fire and military operations continue to raise fears of a broader regional escalation.
