Iran Has Spoken About The Accusation That They Planned to Assassinate Donald Trump.

Tehran (KAAB TV) – Iran never conspired to kill the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, according to an interview given to NBC News on Tuesday by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, denying the previous claims of Trump and the United States government.

In November, the US Department of Justice indicted an Iranian man in connection with a plot by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to assassinate the US president-elect. The security forces thwarted the said plan before any attack could be carried out.

Trump also said last year during the US presidential campaign that Iran may have been behind the assassination attempt.

“There is nothing,” Pezeshkian told NBC News, when asked if there was an Iranian plot to kill Trump. “We never tried in the first place, and we never will.”

Trump, who won last year’s US election and will take office on Monday, survived two assassination attempts during the campaign – one in September while playing golf in West Palm Beach, Florida, and another during a rally. show in July in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Investigators found no evidence of Iranian involvement in either case.

Iran has also previously denied US claims of meddling in US affairs, including cyber attacks.
