Iran and Israel Halt Overnight Missile Strikes Amid Fragile Ceasefire

TEHRAN/TEL AVIV (Kaab TV) – Iran and Israel have halted the missile and drone attacks exchanged overnight, marking the first direct military confrontation between the two sides since the ceasefire began earlier in April.

Iran announced on Monday evening that it was suspending further attacks but warned that strikes could resume if Israel carries out what Tehran described as additional “aggressive and hostile actions,” including any expansion of military operations into Lebanon.

Israeli media reported that the country’s military would refrain from launching further attacks on Iran following a request from U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at preventing a wider regional escalation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later confirmed that the attacks had been stopped. However, he stressed that the Israeli military would continue operations against the Iran-backed Hezbollah group in Lebanon.

Netanyahu also warned that if Iran “makes the mistake of attacking us again, we will respond with great force.”

The latest exchange of missile and drone strikes has heightened fears of a return to full-scale conflict in the Middle East, raising concerns over regional stability and the potential impact on global energy markets.

Analysts warn that renewed fighting between Iran and Israel could further disrupt international oil supplies and worsen existing economic pressures linked to instability in the region.

The escalation also threatens ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a broader de-escalation agreement involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, with international mediators pushing to prevent another major regional war.
