Goldogob (KAAB TV) – Police forces in the Goldogob district of Somalia’s Mudug region have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting his wife following a domestic altercation.

According to a statement from the Mudug Regional Police Command, the suspect, identified as Farah Hassan Adan, was apprehended shortly after the incident, which occurred in Goldogob town.

The victim has been named as Samsam Mohamed Hashi, who tragically lost her life during the dispute.

Authorities reported that the police responded promptly to the scene, ensuring the suspect’s swift arrest.

He is currently in custody at the district police station and is expected to be formally charged and brought before a competent court in the coming days.

“The Mudug police force, particularly officers at the Goldogob police station, successfully arrested Farah Hassan Adan, who is accused of murdering his wife, the late Samsam Mohamed Hashi,” read the official police statement. “He will be brought before the court to face justice.”

Tragically, the victim, Samsam Mohamed Hashi, was a mother of seven children, all of whom were fathered by the alleged perpetrator. The case has sparked public outrage in the community and renewed calls for stronger legal protections against domestic violence.
